About 2 months ago the idea of having a LEGO Serious Play workshop at Made in Brunel as part of the Masters’ events arose. It seemed a bit of a challenge but one not to be left aside. And this is how the chase in planning and organizing the event started. I admit it was not an easy task. The result? The images speak for themselves.
The participants created a nice mixture of knowledge and perspective, representing Macmillan Cancer Support, Maastricht University, University of the Arts London, Brunel University and more.
Under Per Kristiansen’s guidance (Experienced facilitator of change and strategy development and Chairman at Advisory Board for LEGO SERIOUS PLAY), participants worked both individually and in teams to build models and explain them using LEGO. And they came up with their own visions of nowadays designer as well as the designer of the future and the challenges he has to face in given contexts.
It was a complete new experience for most participants, learning how the LEGO Serious Play method can be used as a strategic decision making tool and how it can apply for different issues, both in corporate and non-corporate world.
So now when you will take out the pieces from the box maybe they will help visualizing and bringing new ideas into your project. It’s worth giving it a try!
